Jerk Beasley

Jerin “Jerk” Beasley, a native of New Orleans, discovered his passion for art at a young age. While he participated in several art programs during his childhood, he largely developed his craft as a self-taught artist in his teenage years. His natural talent and dedication shaped a unique style that has gained global recognition, resonating with audiences around the world.

Driven by entrepreneurial ambition, Jerin fused his love for art with fashion by hand-painting designs on clothing. This vision led to the creation of Jerk and Jon, a company he co-founded. The brand was conceived to bridge the gap between traditional art and modern streetwear culture, making art more accessible to a generation influenced by fashion rather than conventional art forms.

Following the life-altering experience of Hurricane Katrina, Jerin’s work took on a deeply emotional and personal tone. His signature style incorporates imagery of bandages and band-aids, symbolizing pain and healing. At the same time, his use of vibrant, dynamic colors reflects resilience, optimism, and hope. This distinctive fusion of pop culture and emotive storytelling has solidified his reputation as a visionary artist, particularly recognized for his bold and striking portraits.

In May 2021, Jerin unveiled his iconic piece, Jay-Z Tree of Life, at Treehouse NOLA. The painting caught the attention of hip-hop legend Jay-Z, who purchased the work and later submitted it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Jerin continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, using his work as a visual journal. His collections, including Under the Influence, Art of Intuition, and The Last Scoop, showcase his evolution as an artist and storyteller. With his bold, innovative approach, Jerin has redefined the role of art in contemporary culture, leading to collaborations with major brands such as the NFL, General Motors, Square Up, Polaris, Nike, Hibbet, Draft Kings, Round 21, and more. Cementing his place as a creative force in the art and fashion industries.
